The Central States Fair has announced that the Pioneer Bank & Trust Professional Saddle Bronc Match will return to this year’s show on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 starting with a cowboy meet and greet at 5 pm.
Thirty of the top saddle bronc riders in the nation will compete for $10,000 in added prize money.
This event will feature the rankest broncs from four PRCA stock contractors. Scoring in a bronc match is based on 50 points for the cowboy and 50 points for the bronc. The contractors will be competing for additional prize money if their ten broncs have the highest average score for the event. This format will ensure the best quality bucking stock for the event. “When you match up the top bronc riders with this pen of horses, you are going to see some fireworks!” according to Wade Vos, Rodeo Committee Chair.
