World’s
Smallest Rodeo Showcases the Fun Side of Black Hills Stock Show®
RAPID CITY, SD — First
Interstate Bank is proud to bring the World’s Smallest Rodeo to the 2014 Black
Hills Stock Show® on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014. The First Interstate
Bank World’s Smallest Rodeo showcases the stick horse
skills of children ages 3 to 5. The event has a limit of 65 total contestants,
so it is important to complete an application early.
Applications and
rules are available at First Interstate Bank locations throughout the Black
Hills. A $5 per contestant entry fee is due with the application. Completed
entry forms should be returned to the Black Hills Stock Show® office
in Room 101 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. Entries close Jan. 31.
Each contestant
will receive a Contestant Award Certificate, a First Interstate Bank back
number and an official Black Hills Stock Show® Wild Stick Horse.
Contestants may
compete in up to four events:

Stick
Horse Parade—contestants will be introduced as they parade their stick horse
and prizes will be presented by First Interstate Bank for the best dressed
cowboy and best dressed cowgirl

Pole
Bending
·
Barrel
Race
·
Wild
Horse Ride
Beginning at 8 a.m.
on Feb. 1, several Junior Miss Rodeo Queens will be on hand to sign autographs
and assist with the event. Contestant check-in begins at 9 a.m. and the
competition kicks off at 10 a.m.
